Terms of Use

The rules for using VidCapy. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Last updated:

1. The service

VidCapy is a free online tool that, from a public YouTube link you provide, generates a link to save that video as MP4 or its audio as MP3, along with the video cover image. VidCapy does not host, store or publish any video.

2. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for what you download and for how you use it. Only download content that:

  • you created yourself;
  • you have permission from the rights holder to save; or
  • is under a license that allows copying (for example, Creative Commons or public domain).

Downloading or redistributing copyrighted content without permission may violate the law in your country and YouTube's own terms. VidCapy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for illegal purposes or to infringe the rights of others;
  • use bots, scripts or any automated means to make requests, or try to get around the download limit;
  • try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its servers;
  • resell or offer the service as your own.

We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Some videos can't be processed (private, age-restricted, members-only or live videos, among others), and we may change, suspend or end any feature at any time without notice.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VidCapy makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the service, and is not liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from its use or from the inability to use it, including the use you make of downloaded files.

6. Advertising and third-party sites

The site displays ads from third-party networks and may contain links to other sites. We don't control and are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of those third parties.

7. Intellectual property

The VidCapy name, logo, design and texts belong to VidCapy. Videos, music and images belong to their respective owners. If you believe content was processed in violation of your rights, see our Copyright page.

8. Privacy

How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes
